Terms for using SQLite Lab
These terms apply when you use sqlitelab.com, its browser-based workspace, guides, samples, and downloadable output. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. Contact contact@sqlitelab.com with questions.
What the service provides
SQLite Lab provides free tools for exploring ordinary SQLite databases, editing SQL, learning, and creating exports. The workspace runs locally in your browser. It is not a hosted database, cloud backup, remote database client, or professional data recovery service. Features and limits may change as the site evolves. We may suspend or change access to the site when needed for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.
Your files and responsibilities
You keep ownership of the files and SQL you bring to the workspace. You are responsible for having permission to use them and for the queries you choose to run. SQL can update or delete data, even when a tool provides safeguards. Review scripts, migration drafts, and exports before using them elsewhere. Keep independent backups of important databases; browser storage can be cleared or evicted, and temporary sessions do not persist. Do not use the site to violate law, infringe others' rights, or interfere with its availability or security.
Examples, guides, and third-party links
Guides and sample datasets are educational material, not a guarantee that a query or migration will suit your production system. Test output against your own requirements. Links to outside sites are provided for convenience; their content and policies are controlled by their respective operators. SQLite Lab is independent and is not affiliated with the SQLite project or DB Browser for SQLite. Third-party names remain the property of their owners.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep the site accurate and available, but provide it on an “as available” basis without a promise of uninterrupted access, error-free results, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SQLite Lab is not responsible for data loss, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Privacy and changes to these terms
The Privacy Policy explains browser storage, website requests, and contact email handling. We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
